Art Show Fundraiser for Malaysian Refugee Children
Monday March 14, 6-9 pm, OPIRG Brock InfoShop, 10 Summer St., behind Pizza Pizza on St. Paul Street
        
On Monday, March 14, come down to the InfoShop to explore the independent art of Malaysia. Amnesty International has come into possession of photo's taken by Malaysian refugee children. On March 14, Amnesty International will be hosting a silent auction art show. Presented at this art show will be the photography of the refugee children from Malaysian. This art show will be used to inspire their art and education, and to show them that their art is internationally renowned. The night will also feature a short movie on the subject and a speech by Dr. Margaret John, Amnesty International Coordinator for Singapore and Malaysia. She will outline the reality of the situation that the children are living in. Every single dollar raised from the event will be donated to the organization that supports the education of the children.  For more information contact amnestyatbrock@gmail.com
